Review of Smile 2 (2024): A Well-Known but Captivating Horror Follow-up

Playing with the expectations of a sequel is another way that "Smile 2 Myflixer" succeeds. Finn uses witty comedy in addition to giving us the frights we anticipate. Without detracting from the stress, the interactions between Skye and her environment—her mother, manager, and overburdened assistant—offer much-needed comic relief. Several ridiculously humorous scenarios are produced by the pressure to keep up appearances while literal death looks on with a distant smile. Instead of reducing the stress, the comedy here heightens it, producing a sort of uneasiness masquerading as amusement. Finn elevates everything in terms of appearance. The audience is kept in Skye's bewildered head via the camera's spinning, dancing, and claustrophobic viewpoints.
